Truck Registration and Bad Roads

The move by the Nigerian Ports Authority to register trucks when the roads leading to and from the sea ports in Lagos has been described as an official act of extortion.

According to maritime stakeholders who prefer to remain anonymous, the registration should have been done after the roads have been properly repaired.

From Ijora to Apapa, from Oshodi to Tin Can down to the Apapa Port complex, the roads remain very bad. If the rains begin, you can be sure of gridlocks as has been the case in years past.
