As Ibrahi Nasiru becomes GM Corporate Communication

Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko Ag. Managing Director, NPA

By breaking away from what has been the trend for years especially at the Corporate and Strategic Communications department of the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, Ag. Managing Director of the Agency, Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, has demonstrated that apart from listening to informed views by maritime stakeholders, his commitment to turn around and reposition NPA seems firmly on course with the elevation of some staff of the Agency.
Expectedly, the announcement of the  appointment of some senior staff as General Managers in line with  Management’s commitment to motivate and ensure improved service delivery may have not have elicited much comments if not for the promotion and retention of Mr. Ibrahim Nasiru as General Manager Corporate and Strategic Communications.
Before this time, this strategic department has been the exit point for General Managers on the verge of retirement. The Ag, MD’s  departure from that unenviable tradition is not only heart warming it also shows that the current helmsman at NPA is desirous of putting square pegs in square holes to galvanize NPA for the challenges ahead.
Apart from Ibrahim Nasiru other staff promoted include  Moltok Josephine Adar, former AGM – Overseas Office now General Manager Servicom; Ahmad M. Umar, former AGM Accounts is now General Manager Human Resources while Sheidu-Shabi Khadija Ife, former AGM Environment becomes GM MD’s Office.
Also, Ngini Chukwuma, former AGM Facility Management is now the General Manager, Lands and Asset Administration.
On the list of elevated staff is also Odunsi Opeoluwa former AGM Finance who is now the GM Finance; and Mohammed Shehu, former AGM Procurement takes over as General Manager Tariff  and Billing.
The Ag. Managing Director admonished the new GMs to regard their new appointments as a call to duty and service to the nation. Bello Koko also charged them to  commit their optimal best to achieving the vision of the Authority.
