Edike Bags Ultimate Integrity Award
Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, ACG, Eporwei Charles Edike, who is Commandant of the Customs Training College, Gwagwalada Abuja, has been honored by the Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, with the Ultimate Integrity Award.
Presenting the award, NACJ said Edike emerged from those shortlisted based on his sterling performance as a Comptroller.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof Pat Utomi said Integrity is doing the right whether one one is been watched or not.
On his part, Jimi Agbaje, a Lagos state governorship aspirant, insisted that integrity does not mean someone is perfect. According to him, integrity is doing what benefits, promotes and supports the majority even at great pain/self denial.
Others who were honored alongside ACG Edike were the Cross River state governor, Prof Ben Ayade, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba, Prof Pat Utomi, Justice Oludotun Adebola Adefope, Dr. Atilade Olufemi Oshoniyi, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa, Mr. Sidney Ufeli Mr. Tony Akiotu amongst others.
ACG Eporwei Charles Edike dedicated the award to officers and men of the Nigeria Customs especially those he has been privileged to work with and thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), for giving him the opportunity and support that have enabled him to carry out his duties effectively.
