He said the academy under his watch will continue to improve on manpower and infrastructural development at MAN, Oron to make it a world class Maritime training institution and the best on the African continent.

Speaking at the University of Lagos when the European American University, EAU, of the Commonwealth of Dominica conferred a Honorary Doctorate Degree on him, Dr. Mkpandiok said, the conferment is an indication that the world is watching and noting their efforts at MAN. He therefore expressed his preparedness to strive and do his utmost best at the Academy.

According to EAU officials at the event, the degree, Doctor of Arts in Educational Administration and Leadership, Honoris Causa, was conferred on him in recognition of his contribution to national development in areas of education, trainings and human capacity development.

A document obtained from the university states that ” European American University, having extolled the virtues and achievements of Mkpandiok A. Mkpandiok and his positive impact to humanity hereby confers on him, her prestigious Doctorate Award of Doctor of Arts in Educational Administration and Leadership, Honoris Causa, with all rights and privileges thereto”.

Dr. Mkpandiok thanked the honourable minister of Transportation Rt. Hon.
