NPA Commissions 24/7 Emergency Clinic For 24hr Port Operations, By Amaka Ilabor

For effective implementation of the Executive Order on the ease of doing Business at Ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has commissioned a 24 hour emergency clinic to cater for health concerns.

Managing Director of the Authority Hadiza Bala Usman while declaring open the clinic located at Apapa Port Complex, LPC, for operations,  assured stakeholders that NPA would not relent in its firm resolve at bringing dividends of good governance and administration to the entire Ports Community.

Hadiza stated that the establishment of the clinic is in consonance with NPA’s Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, policy as well as a commitment to excellence on the side of the organization’s workforce

She told stakeholders during the commissioning that optimal attention is paid by NPA Management to health challenges, especially occupational hazards which is expected to play out in the areas of  greater operations, efficiency and revenue generation for the nation. She said “A healthy Nation is a wealthy Nation”.

The NPA helmsperson added that Management would strive to achieve the utilization of appreciable level of modern applications and equipment at the clinic in other to keep up with current global trends in health matters.

She appealed to Port users to avail themselves of the facility.
