She continued; “I would like to say that in Nigerian Ports Authority, we believe in partnership and collaboration, we believe that there is a need for the Authority to reach out to critical Stakeholders and partner with them in any way we can, We understand and appreciate your knowledge in the Industry and we know there is value in any relationship we have with you. Your knowledge, and your operational experience in the Industry would help guide the Authority” she added.

The Managing Director encouraged them to aspire to leadership positions and impact the Industry in the areas of mentorship and professional guidance.

On the coming election of the National body in 2018, she encouraged the Women to aspire to higher positions in all Sectors especially in the Maritime Industry and pledged her readiness to assist them in accomplishing the objectives of the Association.

She further commended the efforts of the Women in forming the Association because according to her it requires a lot of efforts, resilience. , adding that, “we will not rest on our oars to continue to see how we can further amplify women and their roles within the society”.

On her immediate appointment as the Matron of the Association, the Managing Director declared “I am touched and honored for appointing me as a Matron. I am available for you and I will play my role as the Matron excellently”.
