NAAJ SETS FOR 2017 CONFERENCE, AS T.A. ORJI, Deputy Speaker, OTHERS BAG AWARDS

The National Association of Agricultural Journalists (NAAJ) will host other African agricultural journalists in its 2017 annual conference on November 16th, 2017.

The event would also be used to inaugurate Pan African Journalists (PAJ) and recognize some eminent personalities who have contributed to the transformation of agricultural sector in Nigeria.

 

This fact is contained in a press statement jointly signed by the NAAJ Chairman Mr. Stanley Ihedigbo and the conference planning committee chairman Mr. Johnmark Ukoko.

 

The statement said that the Vice Chairman Senate committee on Agriculture Sen. T.A. Orji CON will chair the occasion and gets the association’s award among other Nigerians.

 

Other awardees include Dr. T. A. Orji CON, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Audu Ogbeh, Alhaji Sani Dongate, Vice President, Dongate Group, Mr. Ade Adefeko, Vice President, Corporate and Government Relations, Barrister Kuomoto, Mama Bakasi, Segun Awolowo NACCIMA President, Iyalode Alaba Lawson.

 

Others are an Agro Economist, Dr. Ikechi Kelechi Agbugba,  Dr. Kayode Tayo Aregbe President & CEO Agrilink International Inc, amongst others.

 

 

Some of the speakers at the conference include Mr. Olatunji Owoeye FCA, MD/CEO of Elephant group, Managing Director Heritage Bank, Direftor General, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MR. Segun Awolowo, Executive Secretary and other eminent personalities.

 

The event will hold at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) exhibition center, Marwa garden, Alausa Lagos.

 

Journalists from Rwanda, Ghana, Gambia, South Africa, Somali, Kenya and few other African countries have signified their interest to attend the event.

 

It would be recalled that NAAJ held its maiden conference last year, which was graced by agricultural journalists from Holland and Ghana.
