Shoboiki (flanked by officers) reporting for duty at MM

Apart from setting record as the first female Customs Area Controller, CAC, of the Customs Command at the international Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Dr. (Mrs) Shoboiki, has also hit the ground running at the MM Command by charging Customs officers and men at the Command to Shape up or get ready to be shipped out.

Beaming with smiles yet stern and exuding a very clear, visible, no-nonsense attribute, Shoboiki has told all her officers at MM that there will no room for acts of indiscipline, absenteeism nor any other act of misconduct.

Already, she has met with key stakeholders at the Airport, even as she embarks on first hand assessment/inspection of Customs sheds and Units wthin the Command.

In clear terms, she emphasized that her mission at MM is to contribute to efforts by the Customs Comptroller General, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd) to fulfill the Presidential mandate to raise Revenue for the Federal Government. A mission, she reiterated, she is very committed to accomplishing.

While calling for cooperation by all, the CAC insists that compliance is crucial as non-compliance, concealment, false declaration and other acts of smuggling will not be tolerated under her leadership of the MM Command.

From all indications, the MM Command is in for real change after the lull of recent times under Shoboike JT, PhD.
