UN List Nigerians as World Hungriest
A United Nation’s report has said that Nigeria is one of the eight countries where two-thirds of world’s hungriest people reside. According to the report, the food crises were primarily driven by conflict and climate-related disasters.
Nigeria has been affected in 16 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory with 5.3 million people estimated to be “in crisis or worse”. The other countries are Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
