Tony Iju Nwabunike, National President, ANLCA

With the successful conduct of elections into elective offices in the Northern, Eastern and Wester Chapters of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents, (ANLCA), National President of the Association, Hon. Tony Iju Nwabunike has reiterated his commitment to the ideals and priciples of good governance, transparency, equity and justice in the affairs of ANLCA under his watch.

The National President also disclosed that his efforts is in fulfilment of his mandate to reposition the Association and  carry out its statutory functions and responsibilities as enshrined in the ANLCA Supreme Constitution as amended.

From the North, the  Association Electoral Commission (ASECO) moved to the Eastern zone of the association to conduct the Chapter elections into Onne port, Calabar port, Port Harcourt Area 1 , Onne Oil & Gas and the Port Harcourt International Airport Chapters.

The elections were successfully carried out with all members and contestants satisfied with the outcome.

While the Ikorodu chapter of the association elected Prince Lawal Jimoh as their chairman.

While assuring that efforts are in top gear by the ASECO to conduct credible elections into the remaining chapters of the Western Zone, Nwabunike said “Under my watch as the National President of ANLCA, I will follow to the later the constitutional provisions of our association to make sure things are always done the right way. I want to also use this medium to once again appeal to our aggrieved brothers to sheath their swords and come onboard for us to build enviable and strong ANLCA for the benefit of us all”.

The ANLCA Boss emphasized that the ANLCA of today is transforming into an association of intellectual professionals with proven integrity that can stand among their peers across the globe.

He called on the media, especially the maritime press to always stand for truth, facts and “Verify from us whenever you hear or read anything about our great association, ANLCA”, Nwabunike appealed.
