Speaking on behalf of the NIMASA DG, Mrs. Odunsanya, stated that the donation to Lagos and other states of the federation is an entrenched culture in NIMASA as part of the Agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, not only to their host communities but all states of the federation to render support to all irrespective of location, tribe/religion.

In Her words “The Director General is very passionate about the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerians. As an Agency of government, we have adopted and agreed to do everything within our power to support overcome the pains and sufferings unleashed by flooding, fire incidents and other natural disasters which have displaced families from their homes and communities. Babatunde Hunpe, Member, House Committee on Maritime, Mr. Olufemi Osanyintolu, General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) alongside other Lagos state officials received the items with gratitude.

Hon. Babatunde Hupe and other officials spoke in the same vein and requested more of such items from other well-meaning organizations in the country.

They emphasized that with a full list of the items donated in their custody as handed over to them by NIMASA, distribution of the items to the deserving will be done judiciously without fear or discrimination.
