Warns On Refusal to Honour invitation

Musa Abdullahi, the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, has noted with concern the lethargy displayed by some government agencies invited by the committee.

Speaking  at the resumed meeting of departments and agencies for the scrutiny of their finances, Abdullahi urged heads of such agencies to demonstrate a high sense of responsibility whenever they were invited.

The committee frowned at unencouraging attitude by heads of MDAs to invitations

Abdullahi stated that members of the committee had forfeited their holiday by sitting to deliberate on national issues of concern, adding that heads of agencies should take a cue from them.

He therefore warned that the committee might resort to taking sterner measures against recalcitrant agencies and their supervisors.
