IMO Scribe, Delegates In Nigeria For Global Maritime Summit
Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization, IMO, Mr. Kitack Lim, has arrived to participate in the Nigeria International Maritime Summit, NIMS, 2022 scheduled to hold from November 20th ā 22nd, 2022.
Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Engr. Mu’azu Jaji Sambo led Maritime CEOs and the CEO of NIMS Dr. Emeka Akabogu alongside other maritime chiefs to receive the IMO scribe at the airport and hosted him to a dinner.
The Summit provides a platform where regional policies and operational perspectives on Decarbonization and Green House Gas Emissions in shipping will be in focus.
The CEO of NIMS, Dr Emeka Akabogu, told MAritime Nigeria that the summit will focus on practical issues in operations and regulations impacting Decarbonization in Shipping in the West and Central Africa region would be highlighted as a catalyst for igniting the Blue economy in the said region.
