“This is a vision and mandate we must key into with all sense of duty, it is not ambiguous or difficult to understand; shape in or ship out, perform or go. It is a rebranding and rebuilding dispensation with a greater vigour, and we cannot afford to be found wanting”, he said.
The Rector reiterated the need for staff to maximise the gains of the retreat as it would set a template for the institutionās 2024 performance scorecard and further expressed optimism that insights gained from the workshop would help the institution achieve its deliverables within the stipulated time.
Setting the tone for the workshop from the office of the Head of Service of the Federation’s perspective, Mrs. Bosede Olaniyi who spoke via zoom said that the office of the head of service is poised to institutionalise the modern performance system in the public service as mandated by the Federal government.

āThe Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan has six pillars, one of which is Capacity Building which the Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Commodore Duja Effedua (Rtd) is very good at.
