NEW PORT ORDER: DANTSOHO MAKES APPOINTMENTS
As Apapa Port, Others Get New Managers
Determined to ensure improved ports operational efficiency, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, has announced the appointment of new port managers across all seaports in the country.
Maritime Nigeria is reliably informed that the restructuring, which takes immediate effect, aims to boost productivity and improve service delivery.
In a memo dated August 14, 2024 personally signed by the NPA Managing Director, the new port managers are directed to assume duties on Monday, August 19, 2024.
The newly appointed port managers are; Mr. Adebowale Lawal Ibrahim as Port Manager of Apapa Port Complex; Mr. Abubakar Sanni Isa as Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port; Mr. Abdulraman Husaini as Port Manager of Onne Port in Rivers State and Mr. Sa’adu Dahiru Mohammed as Port Manager of Delta Port.
Others are Mr. Emmanuel Anda as Port Manager of Lekki Port; Mrs. Kenechi Edith Okezie retained her position as Port Manager at Rivers Port in Port Harcourt, while Mr. Ekine Ibafiri Alex is the new Port Manager of Calabar Port.
The outgoing Port Managers affected by the restructuring such as Dr. Okaga Charles Bamidele (Lagos Port Complex); Sylvester Egene (Tin Can Island Port); Teslim Bamidele Makanjuola (Delta Port); Olumati Ikechi Festus (Calabar Port) and Aliyu Abubakar (Lekki Port) have been directed to report to the Executive Director, Marine and Operations immediately.
