Refutes Alleged Altercation

The Rector with his Cadets at MAN.

The Rector, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Commodore Duja Emmanuel Effedua (rtd) has frowned at and taken total exception to a media report published by a media outfit

Responding when our reporter reached him for clarification on the development , the Rector expressed shock at the allegation.

“My attention was drawn to the report and I have been receiving calls on the story as published. I did not speak with any journalist at the event even when they approached me for comments, i declined because very often one is quoted out of context”

The Publication by MMS which I learnt is published by one Kingsley Anaroke, is a shock to me. I am shocked because i have never met him and i do not know him. Where did MMS get the story from?

“I feel very embarrassed and assaulted emotionally. This is another Cyber Bullying and i will not tolerate nor condone it. They have twenty four hours to retract that story or face the consequences”

“The story is false, concocted and intended to create bad blood while courting friendship in other areas. I do not want to be drawn into such petty politics. Everyone should focus on their work”

“The MMS should do a retraction immediately”

The visibly angry Rector had to cut our call to answer another on the issue saying “Let me take another call, i am sure its on this same matter, i have not rested because of that publication”

Maritime Nigeria is following the development.
