MATAWALLE: Resilience, Sagacity and Audacity In Service

Demonstrates Resolute Resolve Against Banditry

Citizens as well as political actors would, without any iota of doubt agree that the honorable minister of state for defense His Excellency Dr. Muhammed Matawalle, has displayed unusual courage, doggedness and indeed epochal audacity in confronting the menace of insecurity in all the geo political zones of Nigeria.

The Minister with the President during the briefing at the State House Abuja.

Understandably, his sagacity and resilience in confronting and combating this monster of insecurity with its entrenched and vested interests must have taken the evil players unawares as the minister has insisted on not deviating from the universal principles of Rules of Engagement, ROE, in his national duties.

Matawalle’s focus and unwavering stance must have affected some unknown persons in yet to be identified quarters resulting in the attacks and  founded allegations against his person by faceless characters whose identity remain shrouded in secrecy.

Honourable Minister of State for Defence H.E Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, MON.

Of profound interest is the fact that all the spurious allegations emanating from the distorted imagination of agents of darkness, have been thoroughly investigated and trashed as inconsequential.

From North to South, from East to West, the exploits  of the Hon Minister of state for Defense have been applauded by all right thinking and well-meaning citizens of Nigeria as demonstrates resolute resolve against banditry.

They have acclaimed and are unrelenting in urging the minister to disregard all his detractors, stay focused and determined to deliver on his assignment as spelt out by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While political hawks masquerading as men of good detentions hide under the Shadow of darkness to spew baseless toxic utterances aimed at denting the image of the minister, keen observers are neither fooled nor swayed by their antics.

Political observers and followers of developments are of the view that Matawalle’s critics, particularly those within the political establishment, fear his growing influence and popularity among the Northern masses. His commitment to dismantling the networks of bandits and illegal mining operators, who have long exploited the region’s resources and created chaos, poses a direct threat to those who benefit from the instability. This explains the vigorous attempts to undermine him, but Matawalle remains focused on his mission.

This politicization, as pointed out by various commentators like Usman Abdullahi, distracts from the real issues of finding lasting solutions to the insecurity in Zamfara and other parts of Nigeria.

Matawalle’s resolve to bring an end to the challenges of insecurity remain as strong as ever.

His commitment to a secured, peaceful Zamfara is a testament to his leadership and patriotism in the face of both political opposition and security threats; no amount divisive utterances can diminish his resolve in service to his people and country.
