“New Logo is a modern corporate visual identity”-MD/CEO

by kelvin kagbare

The Managing Director/CEO of the NLNG  Shipping and Marine Services Ltd, NSML, Abdulkadir Ahmed has reiterated that the company is committed to providing leadership, innovations, capacity development, safety and excellent shipping and marine service to the Nigerian Maritime industry and the entire sub Sahara Africa region.

Giving clarifications on its new logo and NSML’s repositioning for global excellence, the NSML Boss was emphatic that the company is redoubling its efforts at providing efficient, cost effective, very uncommon technical expertise to its clients within and outside the shores of Nigeria.

According to him, NSML as a global brand believes that marime/shipping standards are global, calibrated and standardized. He maintains that there are no local standards, guidelines nor rules when it comes to international shipping.

On what  NSML has done and aspires to do, Ahmed said “Over these years, NSML’s operations has strengthened our nation’s position as a leading energy exporter. This rebranding enterprise signifies our readiness to further take that success to the world stage, in line with our strategy statement of “Be Safe, Be Reliable and Create Value”

“Our decision to rebrand stems from a desire to have a modern corporate visual identity that is reflective of the new NSML and its future aspirations, expand our footprint, embrace global opportunities, and position NSML as a truly world-class shipping and marine services company”

“The new logo will also play a pivotal role in projecting NSML as a world class Nigerian maritime services company, operating to the top standards in the maritime industry. We believe that this new corporate identity will also depict our drive for sustainability whilst also future-proofing the company. By rebranding, we are declaring our ambition to be a trusted partner in the global maritime industry, meeting the evolving needs of the industry with cutting-edge solutions and unparalleled service”

Asked what NSML’s rebranding vision entails and and its possible gains in-country, the NSML sweat merchant declared “Our rebranding reflects a strategic shift from our established foundations to deepen our investment in technology, broaden our collaborations with international partners and continue to uphold our reputation as a thriving Nigerian brand doing global business in line with international best practices”

“Our purpose is to enhance Nigeria’s shipping and maritime services sector. By demonstrating world-class competence, efficiency, and reliability, NSML is reinforcing Nigeria’s reputation as a trusted stakeholder and partner in the global maritime industry. NSML’s enhanced profile will attract global partnerships, investments, and joint ventures, creating new avenues for economic growth and development in Nigeria. The multiplier effect will generate jobs, develop critical infrastructure, and increase Nigeria’s presence in the global maritime sector”

“Additionally, our enhanced global profile will support Nigeria’s aspirations for leadership in Africa’s maritime landscape. This will open doors for Nigerian maritime businesses to establish themselves as trusted contributors to international trade, logistics, and energy transportation”

“As we embark on this exciting journey, I want to express my profound gratitude to our dedicated workforce, valued partners, and loyal stakeholders. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in our success, and I am confident that together, we will achieve even greater milestones in this new chapter”

To Maritime Stakeholders-Professionals,Terminal Operators, Service Providers, Trainers and Trainees the NSML MD/CEO stated:

“I invite you all to join us in embracing this bold new identity. NSML’s rebranding is not just about a new logo—it is a powerful statement of our vision, capabilities, and determination to become a global leader in providing innovative maritime solutions and services”

“We are charting a course for new horizons and I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead with this transformation. Let me assure you that NSML will continue to set new standards for excellence and sustainable growth of maritime operations and services that will be beneficial to all our stakeholders and the nation”

Undoubtedly, expectations are high and rightly so as NSML has demonstrated immense capacity and undeniable leadership position in Nigeria’s  shipping sector.
