AMJON reiterates that the CGC’s election is a testament to his two years of exceptional, purposeful, impactful and  leadership to the Nigeria Customs Service.

Within this short time in office, CGC Adeniyi has facilitated trade, achieved astronomical revenue generation, improved staff welfare and strengthened the country’s border security.

As the foremost maritime journalists association in Nigeria, AMJON is proud to felicitate with the CGC at this auspicious moment, as well as express our appreciation of his efforts in upscaling the image of the Nigeria Customs Service through his regular stakeholders engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across Nigeria.

By his election as the Chairperson of this 73 years old world apex Customs policy-making body, his expertise and experience will undoubtedly benefit the global Customs community, the Nigeria Customs and the Nigerian economy.

We are confident that his leadership will foster cooperation, modernisation, and capacity building among member countries, ultimately enhancing international trade and economic development globally

His tenure no doubt, will Promote Nigeria’s interest and perspectives in global Customs discussions, enhance regional cooperation/ integration, trade facilitation as well as foster knowledge sharing and capacity building among member countries.

His election is a proud moment for Nigeria and the maritime community, demonstrating the country’s growing influence in global affairs.

AMJON is sure that his leadership will inspire positive change and drive progress in the Customs profession worldwide.

We sincerely thank the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for believing in him as we  extend our gratitude to the Secretary-General and WCO leaders for unanimously taking the  decision of electing him’
