Nations Cup 2026: Super Eagles Primed To Win Trophy  if

As Predatory Moroccan Lions  Roar for Eagles in the Sky

The Nigerian national football team, otherwise known as the Super Eagles are top favorites to lift this year’s edition of the African cup of Nations if they maintain and deploy their professionalism, composure, tactical discipline and attacking prowess to their next match against host nation Morocco-if they survive the hostilities of this encounter, Nigeria’s dream of lifting the cup which they won last in 2013, could come to pass.

With acclaimed ball winners, goal makers, goal stoppers, ball blockers and goal scorers, the Eagles are so delightful to watch in Morocco that football fans are bewildered on how such a skillful side missed out from the 2026 world cup to be held  from  June 11 to  July 19, 2026 with the  United States, Canada and Mexico as co hosts.

Nigeria has so far sent Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Mozambique and Algeria out of the 2026 Nations Cup tournament in very clinical, professional displays.

With defending champions Cote d’Ivoire ousted by Egypt, host Morocco is beatable by Nigeria.

From market women to policy makers at the highest level, the national pride the Eagles’ victories have brought  is so thrilling  and  has been a huge relief from tax matters  and other worries ushered in by year 2026.

The joy is so infectious that one begins to wonder why regular reports of revenue breaking, record smashing  and revenue hauls do not translate to similar expression of elation by Nigerians-that is a story for another day.

The exploits of the Eagles is so enthralling that the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other national figures have commended the Eagles for their dazzling performance.

With over 200 million fans cheering the Eagle on, the cup is two matches away- Morocco and the winner of the clash between Egypt and Senegal.

Mention must be made of the of the likes of Alex Iwobi, who may not have won Man of the Match Award at the competition so far but whose contributions to the team success is enormous. I do not know what coach Eric Sekou Chelle did to him during training sessions;  isn’t it evident that  Iwobi has  matured and fitting into Jay Jay Okocha’ s boots squarely?

What about Wilfred Ndidi? The team Captain who offered to pay the bonuses of his team mates if government failed prior to the match against Algeria?

Calvin Bassey has been a work Horse for the eagles-solid, restless, disciplined and very professional-every player in this Eagles assemblage deserves special recognition as their contributions on and off the field of play has propelled the team to the semi final stage as Nigerians await another resounding victory on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, against host nation morocco, the Atlas lions.

The Nigerian coach of the Super Eagles,    has admitted that Morocco is a good side. “Morocco is a strong team, and there’ll be pressure in front of the host country. The best team will win. I’m proud that we’ll face Morocco, and I hope it’ll be a good match, with the best team winning”-that’s humility and respect to your opponent/host.

Chelle, is assisted by First Assistant Hadi Taboubi, Fitness Trainer Thomas Gornourec, and Goalkeeper Trainer Jean Daniel Padovani-these men hardly get mentioned. We acknowledge their professionalism, tenacity technical depth and contributions to the eagles of today-they have never been so bold, fearless and ruthless in attack.

Goal scorers alone do not make the team thick just as ball possession amount to nothing if teams fails to score. Goals remain the high point of every game of football; notwithstanding, players have their roles on the field of play, victory and defeat rubs off on everyone.

This is urging the greenish Super Eagles of Nigeria to soar higher beyond the reach of the reddish Moroccan lions!

Prepare the dishes, ice the drinks and get set for another famous victory as the Eagles are set to wallop the Moroccans in another thrilling game of football.
