FG Commences Investigations On Bawa

There strong indications that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,BAT,  has approved the indefinite suspension from office of Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON,  as the Chairman of the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Presidency sources say Bawa’s suspension is to allow for proper investigation into his conduct  in office as EFCC Chairman.

We gathered that Bawa’s suspension is on the heels of weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him and he has  has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director of Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigations on the conduct of Mr. Bawa.

There palpable apprehension and anxiety as Nigerians await what happens next under the Tinubu led government.
