Compt Olomu On Working Visit and Engagement With Freight Agents
As Command Revenue Hits N1.3trillion
In confirmation of Maritime Nigeria’s postulation of more cheering news from the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, the Customs Area Controller, CAC, of the Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, PhD, has announced a revenue collection of over N1.3 trillion in the first half of 2025.
This revenue effort was made public by the CAC, during his visit to the headquarters of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA which consist of major clearing and shipping agents in Nigeria.
Addressing members of the Associations, Comptroller Olomu thanked them and expressed his delight that reforms introduced by his administration are yielding even as he assured on addressing observed operational issues by the agents.
“The issue of gate delays and gate high-handedness will not be tolerated. I have taken note of this, and I can assure you that it will be addressed,” the CAC said

The CAC equally called on members of both associations to prioritise their health and practise a work-life balance for improved well-being and job performance.
“Routine medical check-ups help prevent high blood pressure, hypertension, stroke, and other avoidable ailments. Also, engage in regular physical exercise,” the CAC appealed.
The CAC granted open access to the Apapa Customs medical facility, offered at low cost as part of the Command’s Corporate Social Responsibility to port users.
Comptroller Olomu as well promised to look into operational issues raised by the agents ,such as enforcement blockages, changing examiners’ names and the system integration issues between the Truck Transit Parks (TTP) and APMT among others.
Evidently, the working visit by Comptroller Olomu is another indication of his commitment to having regular engagement with stakeholders positioning the Command for higher results in its revenue drive and pursuit of excellence.
